배병환 대표는 1985년 KAIST 원자력공학 석사 학위를 취득한 뒤, 한국전력공사(KEPCO)와 한국수력원자력(KHNP)에서 38년간 재직하며 대한민국 원자력 산업의 핵심 궤적과 함께해 왔습니다. After earning his M.S. in Nuclear Engineering from KAIST in 1985, Mr. Bae spent 38 years at KEPCO and KHNP — moving in lockstep with the core trajectory of Korea's nuclear industry.
재직 중 5종의 신형경수로 모델 개발을 주도하며 약 100조 원 규모의 신규 원전 사업 기반을 마련했고, 국내외 12기의 원전 건설 및 운영에 직접 참여했습니다. He led the development of five advanced PWR models, laying the foundation for new-build projects valued at approximately KRW 100 trillion, and directly engaged in the construction and operation of 12 nuclear units at home and abroad.
UAE 바라카 원전 4기 수출의 기술·사업 협력에 기여했으며, 현재 추진 중인 체코 수출 모델의 개발 단계에도 깊이 관여하였습니다. 풍부한 현장 경험과 정책·외교 감각을 겸비한, 흔치 않은 프로필을 보유하고 있습니다. He contributed to the technical and commercial collaboration behind the UAE Barakah four-unit export and was deeply involved in developing the Czech export reference model now in progress — a rare blend of field expertise, policy fluency, and diplomatic instinct.
